Tutubi Chronicles

The Broken Tablets

Exodus 32:

goldencalf

Musa said: “Then go away! And verily, your (punishment) in this life will be that you will say: `Touch me not;’ and verily, you have a promise that will not fail. And look at your god to which you have been devoted. We will certainly burn it, and scatter its particles in the sea.”) (98. Your God is only Allah, there is no God but Him. He has full knowledge of all things.)

spear-2-e13753148207291. Spear of Destiny

John 19: 31-37 – 31 Now it was the day of Preparation, and the next day was to be a special Sabbath. Because the Jewish leaders did not want the bodies left on the crosses during the Sabbath, they asked Pilate to have the legs broken and the bodies taken down. 32 The soldiers therefore came and broke the legs of the first man who had been crucified with Jesus, and then those of the other. 33 But when they came to Jesus and found that he was already dead, they did not break his legs. 34 Instead, one of the soldiers pierced Jesus’ side with a spear, bringing a sudden flow of blood and water. 35 The man who saw it has given testimony, and his testimony is true. He knows that he tells the truth, and he testifies so that you also may believe. 36 These things happened so that the scripture would be fulfilled: “Not one of his bones will be broken,”37 and, as another scripture says, “They will look on the one they have pierced.”

Today there exist several historic spears claimed to be the “holy lance” of the biblical story. The one with perhaps the best claim, or at least the oldest provenance is in the Hofburg Museum in Vienna, Austria. This spear can be traced back through history to Constantine the Great, the Roman Emperor who first adopted Christianity in the early 4th century.

According to Ravencroft the lance was possessed by a series of successful military leaders including Theodosius, Alaric (who was responsible for the sacking of Rome), Charles Martel (who defeated the Moslems in 733 AD), Charlemagne and Frederick Barbarossa.

A legend grew around the lance that whoever possessed it would be able to conquer the world. Napolean attempted to obtain the lance after the battle of Austerlitz, but it had been smuggled out of the city prior to the start of the fight and he never got a hold of it. According to the legend, Charlemagne carried the spear through 47 successful battles, but died when he accidentally dropped it. Barbarossa met the same fate only a few minutes after it slipped out of his hands while he was crossing a stream.

The spear finally wound up in the possession of the House of the Hapsburgs and by 1912 was part of the treasure collection stored in Hofburg Museum. According to Ravenscroft it was in September of that year, while living in Vienna and working as a watercolor painter, that a young Adolf Hitler visited the Museum and learned of the lance and its reputation. Dr. Walter Stein, who accompanied Hitler on that visit, remembered, “when we first stood side by side in front of the Spear of Destiny it appeared to me that Hitler was in so deep a condition of trance that he was suffering almost complete sense-denudation and a total lack of self-consciousness.”

Hitler later said, “I stood there quietly gazing upon it for several minutes quite oblivious to the scene around me. It seemed to carry some hidden inner meaning which evaded me, a meaning which I felt I inwardly knew yet could not bring to consciousness…I felt as though I myself had held it before in some earlier century of history. That I myself had once claimed it as my talisman of power and held the destiny of the world in my hands…”

Hitler saw the lance as his mystical connection with generations of conquering Germanic leaders that had come before him. On March 14, 1938, after he had risen to power as the chancellor of Germany, Hitler annexed the state of Austria and ordered that the spear, along with the rest of the Habsburg collection, be sent to the city of Nuremberg, heart of the Nazi movement.

On October 13th the lance was loaded onto an armored train and sent to the city. There it was kept in the St. Catherines Church throughout the most successful portion of Hitler’s military campaign. In October 1944, after success had shifted to the Allied side, the spear, along with the rest of the collection, was moved to a specially constructed underground vault that would protect it from heavy bombing.

Six months later, on April 30th, 1945, at 2:10 PM, advancing American forces took possession of the vault and the spear. Eighty minutes later Adolf Hitler died, by his own hand, in a bunker in Berlin.

Today the Holy Lance has been returned to the Hofburg Museum.

2. True Cross Relic

When the Body of Jesus was removed from the Cross, to prevent His followers from finding it, the Cross was thrown in a ditch or well, and then covered with stones and earth.

In the year 312 A.D., almost 300 years later, while Constantine, who had not yet converted to Christianity, was in combat with Maxentius for the throne of the Roman Empire, he prayed to the Lord God of the Christians to help him in his battle.  In answer to his prayer, a sign appeared in the sky.  A luminous cross was seen with the words “BY THIS SIGN YOU WILL CONQUER” (in Latin, “IN HOC SIGNO VINCES”) inscribed on it.

Constantine won the battle over Maxentius.  Indebted to God for his victory at the Milvian Bridge on October 28, 312, Constantine commanded that the Sign of Christianity be placed on the Roman standards and on the shields of all the soldiers.

Then, on September 14, 326, Emperor Constantine’s mother, St. Helena, found in Jerusalem the True Cross on which Jesus was crucified.  The legend of the story of the discovery of the True Cross is that when visiting the holy places in Palestine, St. Helena was guided to the site of the Crucifixion by an aged Jew who had inherited traditional knowledge as to its location.  After the ground had been dug to a considerable depth, three crosses were found, as well as the superscription placed over the Savior’s head on the Cross, and the nails with which He had been crucified. The Cross of the Lord was distinguished from the other two by laying the crosses on a dead youth who was revived by the touch of the third Cross.true-cross-holy-sepulchere

In 614, Chosroes II, the King of Persia, invaded Syria and Palestine, at which time he carried away many of the great treasures of Jerusalem, including the relic of the True Cross.  In 629, Emperor Heraclius of Constantinople marched into Persia and recaptured the True Cross, seeing to it that Heraclius piously bring it back to Jerusalem while being clothed in sackcloth of penance and barefoot. On September 14, the Sacred Cross was restored to its place in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem.

Today one may visit the Basilica Church of Santa Croce in Jerusalemme (The Holy Cross in Jerusalem), located in Rome, in which a sizable portion of the Holy Cross is enshrined along with numerous other associated relics of the Passion, including a large portion of the sign that had been placed on the Cross saying “Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews”.  It is from this church that the relic in our Shrine of the True Cross was obtained.

The James Ossuary

3. James Ossuary

The James Ossuary is believed by some to be one of the most precious Biblical artifacts of all time, as the limestone box which is said to have held the bones of the purported brother of Jesus and if proven correct, would be the first physical link to Jesus. The first century AD burial box contains an Aramaic inscription that reads “James, son of Joseph, brother of Jesus.” The box was carved from a single piece of limestone, which was typical of burial boxes used by Jews of first-century Palestine. In those days, bodies were left in a cave for a year before the bones were collected and put in a box. The limestone box has been at the centre of the most controversial forgery cases in decades.  The Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA) tried to prove in court that the items were forged by antiquities collector Oded Golan, but they failed in their ruling and subsequently tried, unsuccessfully, to gain ownership of the item. It is also alleged, that the item was vandalized by the Israeli government before being returned to its owner.

shroud shroud2

4. The Shroud of Turin

The Shroud of Turin is a centuries old linen cloth that bears the image of a crucified man. A man who millions believe to be Jesus of Nazareth. Is it really the cloth that wrapped his crucified body, or is it simply a medieval forgery, a hoax perpetrated by some clever artist? Modern science has completed hundreds of thousands of hours of detailed study and intense research on the Shroud. It is, in fact, the single most studied artifact in human history, and we know more about it today than we ever have before. And yet, the controversy still rages. This web site will keep you abreast of current research, provide you with accurate data from the previous research and let you interact with the researchers themselves. We believe that if you have access to the facts, you can make up your own mind about the Shroud.

According to legend, the shroud was secretly carried from Judea in A.D. 30 or 33, and was housed in Edessa, Turkey, and Constantinople (the name for Istanbul before the Ottomans took over) for centuries. After crusaders sacked Constantinople in A.D. 1204, the cloth was smuggled to safety in Athens, Greece, where it stayed until A.D. 1225.

However, the Catholic Church only officially recorded its existence in A.D. 1353, when it showed up in a tiny church in Lirey, France. Centuries later, in the 1980s, radiocarbon dating, which measures the rate at which different isotopes of the carbon atoms decay, suggested the shroud was made between A.D. 1260 and A.D. 1390, lending credence to the notion that it was an elaborate fake created in the Middle Ages.

But critics argued that the researchers used patched-up portions of the cloth to date the samples, which could have been much younger than the rest of the garment.

What’s more, the Gospel of Matthew notes that “the earth shook, the rocks split and the tombs broke open” after Jesus was crucified. So geologists have argued that an earthquake at Jesus’ death could have released a burst of neutrons. Medicinally, it has been used as a sedative.

As every part of the plant is extremely poisonous, neither leaves, berries, nor root should be handled if there are any cuts or abrasions on the hands. The root is the most poisonous, the leaves and flowers less so, and the berries, except to children, least of all. It is said that an adult may eat two or three berries without injury, but dangerous symptoms appear if more are taken, and it is wiser not to attempt the experiment. Though so powerful in its action on the human body, the plant seems to affect some of the lower animals but little. Rabbits, sheep, goats and swine eat the leaves with impunity, and birds often eat the seeds without any apparent effect, but cats and dogs are very susceptible to the poison. — Grieve’s Modern Herbal

Te Eme

Testamento ng Te Eme

Brief Background:

“A Protection for all who carry this Blessing with them. They will possess a Grand Secret which no other being will understand.

Christ, in the midst of peace, went with his disciples abroad. St. Matthew; St. Mark, St. Luke, St. John. The Four Evangelists protect me, N. N., by the ever-praised majesty and unity of God. J. J. J. in all distances:

  1. C. V. J. I. R. 3, 121, be with me at all distances. † † † Amen

Conclusion:

Trivia:

Ang TM ay hindi kelangan ang ICVJIR. At ang tutuong ICVJIR ay walang TM. Kahit subukan pa natin.

Historical Glimpse – Tiagong Akyat

Tiagong Akyat was one of the most famous outlaws in Philippine history. He terrorized Manila and the nearby provinces in the 1920s, looting homes and establishments. There was a legend that he only looted the homes of the rich and even helped the poor. Such was his notoriety that rarely had a newspaper been issued in any day without any news about him.

Born Santiago Ronquillo in Imus, Cavite sometime in the late 19th century, Tiagong Akyat got his moniker because he simply entered homes and loot it of its wealth amidst the horrified residents (it should be noted that during the early 20th century, few homes had gates).

Legend has it that Tiagong Akyat possessed an amulet that made him invisible. This amulet is called “Tagabulag” in Philippine folklore. People believed that this was the reason why the Manila police failed to capture him, despite huge rewards awaiting for the person to bring to Police Tiago “Dead or Alive”.

Yet, despite Tiagong Akyat’s notoriety, there was existing rumors that he was a “Robin Hood” character, helping the poor and looting the rich.

In 1923, Manila Chief of Police John Fulton Green received an intelligence report that Tiagong Akyat was seen in Noveleta, Cavite. In cooperation with the Philippine constabulary, Green organized a formidable force to capture Tiagong Akyat. It was rumored that Tiago may have been ill when the Constabulary surrounded the house in Noveleta where Tiago was hiding.

Despite Tiago’s defenseless condition, the constabulary riddled the house with multiple shots, killing Tiago.

The Manila police was criticized for this overkill, despite the fact that they ended the career of one of the most famous outlaws in Philippine history. (source: http://en.wikipilipinas.org/index.php/Tiagong_Akyat)

These photos were unaltered, no picture enhancement or photo editing software was used. The pictures were taken using an iPhone 6.  The person in the photos is Tres Mundo Tres Ryan, the designated Vice President  of the Tres Mundo Buhay na Salita sa Isang Paniniwala Inc.

Ryan and his brother was out on a trekking adventure in one of the mountains in the Bicol region. While nearing the peak his brother suddenly feels something creepy. Yelled at Ryan and told him that somebody or something might have been following them. Since Ryan is familiar with the supernatural he doesn’t mind what his brother was saying, then all of a sudden his brother said that he is seeing something approaching Ryan. Quickly he got his iPhone 6 and starts firing the shots. These photos was captured in sequence and no words will be able to describe this kind of experience for the brothers.

According to Ryan, these were his spirit guides and just messing around with his brother. He can be able to summon them anytime he wishes, we were just so lucky that he shared us these pictures. These are proofs that the unknown do exists. Believe it or Not…
